Overview
The L7 built the Scrypt fleet and it is still the model most operators know how to fix. At 0.36 J/MH it is 71 percent less efficient than an L9, so it belongs on cheap power or in a fleet that is already paid off. What it has going for it is repairability and a deep pool of second-hand boards, which matters more than the efficiency number when a site is measured in hundreds of units.
